Barcelona, Spain

1st day

After our 4 hour bus ride to Barcelona, We arrived at 2:00 pm in the afternoon. We took taxi all the way to our hotel. We checked in to our hotel. Our hotel here was much better than the hotels we used in Valencia and Madrid.

We came out of the hotel and went to Mcdonalds to eat lunch. When we were full, we walked all the way to the old church in Barcelona

It was called familia. It was cool how the building was designed. Near the church, I bought a small ball of Barcelona in a shop. I was extremely happy. We were thinking of going into the barcelona church but the line was too long and we decided not to waste time.

We took metro to Catalunya a metro station. The metro map was much more complicated than Madrid's metro and it took a long time to figure out what the map meant. While we were walking, we went into a market and bought juice. My dad also bought raw and rotten ham. It was purely disgusting. When we came out we also bought ice-cream. I bought strawberry and mango flavor.

While we were walking, we saw a shop that was filled with origami. It was amazing. By that time it was already night time and we started looking for food to eat. We came into this plaza and decided we would eat at a French restaurant. I ate calamari and my sister ate steak.

We took metro back to our hotel. After we all took a bath. We slept and waited for the next day to come.

2nd day

We woke up in the morning and went to the plaza to eat pans for breakfast. I ate a donut. My sister and I drank orange juice too.

We took a metro to the national art and sculpture museum. It was very big. On our way to the museum, we walked streets that were filled with people walking in and out.

We learned a lesson when we went to the art museum in Madrid. In the Madrid art museum, it was extremely boring. We only looked at the outside of the building and went in to go to the restroom.

Then we walked along the streets near the art museum. As we were walking, we decided we would go to the old village in Barcelona. The tickets were expensive but I am telling you, it is worth it. The old village was called Poble espanol.

In the old village, we saw lots of old art and buildings. There were many little stores in the old village. We once went to a factory. We saw how they made the melted glass into different shapes. We also went to a sculpture garden where we saw lots of weird sculptures. The place was extremely beautiful and definitely worth remembering.

After we were done admiring this old village, we went down to a mall. We bought mini crossants to satisfy our hunger. We thought there was a Mcdonalds there, but there wasn't. So then we took a metro where we could eat Mcdonalds.

After we were done eating our lunch, we went up to the old Barcelona Cathedral. On our way, we saw a lot of entertainers and beggars. It was very crowded and noisy.

We saw many of Jesus's christ sculptures and arts. We went to the very top and had a beautiful sight of the whole city. It was actually kind of scary looking down and noticing that we are very high off the ground. We finished looking at the cathedral in no time.

We went back near the hotel. None of the restaurants were open so we decide to check out the mall. There we bought some pineapple juice to drink. Finally, when we came out of the mall, there were some restaurants open. We ate at a restaurant called Pasta Pasta City. I thought the food there was very good. Finally, we went back to the hotel to rest for the night.

This day was sure an exciting day looking at all the old buildings.

3rd day

We woke up early in the morning and ate breakfast. .Again, we ate at Pans and company. I again ate a donut and drank some orange juice.

Our family took a metro to Gaudi and old building that a real person lived in. We were very lucky. Right after us, the door had to close because the building had to much people. We took the stair to the very top which is the roof. It was very very tiring. Our legs were already aching.

It was very scary. There were two big holes in the middle of the building. The only thing that supported you was the fence. It made me scared to look down. In the Gaudi building, we saw how the old rooms looked like. They had old of everything. Now in America, technology is more high than in olden days. In the museum of the Gaudi building. We saw how the great and famed familia was built. It was built by using a mirror and some chains. Isn't that totally amazing.

When it was time to eat lunch, we ate at Mcdonalds. We ate outside. Then we took a metro to the Gaudi park. There we walked up a steep hill to get to the top. It was filled with people. In the gaudi park, it was very rocky and there were not that many things to see. But at the end, was the best part. I saw the lizard of the Gaudi park. It was very beautiful and made up of many colors. Then we ate ice-cream.

After, we took metro to the FCB STADIUM!! It was the biggest stadium in the world. We went straight to the Mega store. I bought a FCB shirt and a doll. After, we went to a close pans to rest. It was very windy. When we took the metro, it was so windy that the escalator was all clogged up.

We took metro to the city. We went to a department store to the very top floor. We ate at a buffet. I ate fried meat. It was delicious. Then we went to the most bottom floor where we bought some oranges and milk.

When it was getting dark, we went back to the hotel to rest.

4rth day

On the fourth day we woke up in the morning at ate the same things in pans again.

We took metro to the old town again where the old cathedral was. We walked the streets near the cathedral. All the buildings looked very old and amazing how they make and carve the buildings.

While we were walking, we saw a small shop. I wanted to buy a gaudi shirt but it costed 10 euro. It was way to expensive. My dad negotiated and got the price down to 7 euro. I really wanted to buy it and my dad ought it for me. My dad was really nice to me. My sister saw a bag she wanted to buy but it was very expensive at 15 euro. Again my dad negotiated and got the price down to 12 euro. My sister and I were very happy.

We walked and went to eat lunch at Mcdonalds. Then we took metro to the Barcelona beach.

We went to the beach and played for a while in the water. Then, we had tea time and ate ice-cream to fill our stomachs. W walked along the streets and went to this park. There were beautiful running fountains. There was also a very beautiful lake that were filled with ducks and different kinds of birds. There was this huge golden model that was behind the lake. It was extremely beautiful.

We were walking some streets and it was very small and my mom was scared of going into it. So we went to a church but it didn't have much in it. After, we went to eat dinner. At this restaurant, my dad ate paella, my sister and I ate pasta. I drank some fanta while my mom drank coke. We walked the streets near the place for a while again. Then we took metro back to the hotel.

This day was our last day and it was exciting.

#The next day we went to the airport and flew back to san jose. First, we took a plane to Madrid, then to Chicago, and then back to san jose.

Valencia, Spain

1st day

After the bus ride, to Valencia it was past midnight and we were very tired. We took a taxi to our hotel. Since, we were so tired, we did not even take a bath before we slept. When we woke up for the morning, we ate breakfast. I ate a donut, my sister drank orange juice, and my mother and father drank coffee. We went to a old bull fight stadium and a train station.

Then we went to buy oranges in a huge supermarket. It was filled with things. It had meat and poultry, it had fish, and it also had fruit. After we went to the market, we went to the old Valencia Cathedral. Many people were waiting in line to get in and see it.

WHen we got in, we were only able to see a few cartoons. We wasted a lot of time waiting in line to get in the cathedral. We ate lunch in Mcdonalds again. After when we were full, we walked all the way up to the eye and art museum.

The eye museum is a museum that is shaped like and looks like and eye. In the night, the eye museum can be extremely beautiful. We were very tired and rested on a rock. We walked across a very large bridge to a department store. We took all the elevators to the top floor.
We were very hungry. We bought a churro, an ice-cream, and a glass of soda.

We got a very good view of the eye and art museum. We walked all the way back to the old town. OOPS! My sister steped in a huge blob of dog poop. It was extremely disgusting. We went to a small supermarket and bought a few more oranges. Then we went back to our hotel to rest. My mom sept for a while since she couldn't sleep on the bus ride to Valencia. We walked streets looking for a place to eat dinner. Luckily we found a place where we could eat Thailand food. It was good. Everybody in the family ate a bowl of fried rice. We walked a little and then went back to the hotel for the night. We slept and waited for the next exciting day to come.

We had to walk a lot and there was no taxi or metro. In Valencia, they had no local metro. So we had to walk all the way. It was very tiring.

2nd day

The second day was our last day in Valencia. In the morning. We waited for a bus. It was bus number 19. I got my mom mad for not giving 1 or 2 dollar coins. My mom was still mad at me when we arrived at the beach of the valencia.

At the beach, we had lots of fun and forgot all about my sadness. We found a lot a shells. My mom and sister were collecting shells while my dad and I were finding stones to skip. The sand was very fine.

After all the fun was over, we took the bus to the downtown of the valencia. Then we again ate lunch in Mcdonalds. By that time, it was a little raining. We went to a huge department store to keep us from getting wet. When the rain stopped we walked again.

Then we went up to the old Cathedral in Valencia.

Then, we walked the old town of Valencia again

After, we went to pans and company again to rest. I ate another donut, my sister took a nap, my dad got coffee, and my mom got soda. After a while, when we were well rested we left the restaurant.

We walked to the Palace in Valencia. The entry fee was very low. It was three dollars for each adult and for every child it was free. We saw the royal nobles rooms. They were all detailedly decorated. I saw how the olden kitchen, art, and charriots. We saw many things in the Palace.

After the tour of the Palace. We went up the department store again. There was a lot of food to eat. I got a hotdog. My sister got terryaki chicken and rice. My dad got a salmon. My mom got a steak. At the end I had an ice-cream as dessert. It was very funny. My dad was mad since the dessert had not come for a long time. The server was scared and gave us another scoop of ice-cream for free. By the end of dinner, I was really full.

We went back to the hotel and slept for the night. I thought the best part of the day was going to the beach. I could skip stones really well.

Madrid, Spain

1st day

The first day was quite a busy day. We arrived by airplane early in the morning. I was so tired. I couldn't sleep. We took a metro to a metro station named Gran Via. This was the station near our hotel. We went in to our hotel and dropped of our luggages since we could not check in and get to the room.

Moving on, we went to a palace in Madrid formerly ruled by King Carlos. We saw lots of beautiful crafts, arts, and designs. We were amazed by how the royal people ruled in the olden days. Their culture was extremely different from our modern day culture in America. I would not like to live in a palace. I thought these palaces were creepy because there were so many statues of kings. The art was even somewhat scary. We even bought a few models for memories of this olden palace. Next to this Palace was a huge cathedral. We checked inside and saw many pictures of Jesus and his family. We even saw many people praying and worshiping to God.

Then we went to the Old town of Madrid where we saw lots of olden days culture and architecture. We were extremely hungry and went to Mcdonalds to eat and rest. The Mcdonalds in Spain was different from the Mcdonalds in America. Spain's Mcdonalds had chicken wings and cheescakes. America's Mcdonald did not have those kinds of foods. Personally, I like Spain's Mcdonalds better. Then we walked down to a plaza where it was filled with people. And man was it hard to breathe. Almost every European was smoking cigars. The plaza was also filled with little stores selling winter toys. Soon we found out that the main food of Spain was Paella(Spain's "special" rice) or Calamari(Fried squid). Since we were so tired we went back to our hotel to nap a little.

After the nap we felt much better. We then walked the streets near our own hotel. There were many stores that we didn't know in America. My dad and I enjoyed how the olden streets looked like. Like plazas, these streets were also filled with people and stores. I also bought a Madrid soccer ball.

Then we went to the art museum. My sister and I were very bored and did not really like the arts or sculptures. I only knew that my legs were really aching. After we watched the museum, we went to eat dinner at Vips. On the way to Vips, we bought a Madrid hat for me. When we arrived at Vips, I ate BBQ ribs and enjoyed an oreo smoothie with my sister, Christie. After dinner, we walked back to the hotel. Man this was a tiring but exciting day. I thought it was cool to see how olden day architecture and culture was like.

2nd day

The second day, I thought was the most exciting day. I will explain why in a moment. First, we got up early in the morning and walked to Pans, a restaurant providing bread. I ate a butterfly cookie while my other family members were eating a chocolate crossant. Then we tried to find avanza a name for our bus that was going to bring us to Valencia. We looked for a long time but couldn't find it. So finally we got advice from a metro guide and took a metro to the ticket place. After we bought our tickets from avanza, we looked ahead and got our tickets from Valencia to Barcelona. As you can see, we were not just going to one city in Madrid but three.

After getting, rid of that worry we took metro to our, well .... "my" favorite place, the Real Madrid Soccer Stadium

We first went to the very top floor. It took a lot of time and we had to ride at least 10 escalators. We got a pretty good view of the whole stadium. The grass on the stadium looked so smooth that I didn't know if it was real or not.

Finally, I figured out how they made the grass so smooth and fine. Every day, they put huge lamps and spread the light evenly on the whole field. We went down all the way to the grass level. We got an extremely good view.

Then we went to the trophy room. Wow! There were hundreds and hundreds of trophies. By the way, my favorite player is Christiano Ronaldo 7.

I even took a picture with Ronaldo. Then we went to the Mega store of the Real Madrid Stadium. I was going crazy. On the first floor, I saw books of famous players. I also saw scarves, robes, and many other form of clothing. On the second floor, I saw many different types of soccer balls and other clothes. After looking at the whole store, I bought a Madrid soccer t-shirt. As you can see I extremely like soccer.

Then we went out of the store to go to eat lunch. We went to a small mall and ate Spanish food. We all shared one Paella and one glass of water. It was extremely expensive. They charged the bread "they" gave you. The Paella was also expensive at the average price of forty dollars. When we were full, we decided to take the metro to the bull fighting stadium.

When we arrived at the stadium, we saw many bull fighting pictures. The bull fighting stadium was very old and was no longer running. We walked a circle around the stadium. It was kind of depressing for me. We could not go inside and see the place where they fought, we were only able to see the outside. We bought some drinks and yogurt in case we were ever hungry or thirsty. We walked the streets near the bull stadium.

Then we went back to the streets near our hotel. We were walking and my mom found a store she wanted to go to. It was called Mango outlet. After shopping for an hour, we decided it was time to eat dinner. Our legs were aching and our stomachs were growling. We went to a Spanish restaurant where I ate calamari. That dinner filled me up. We went back to the hotel for the night.

3rd day

On the third day, We again went to Pans to eat breakfast. This time I ate a donut. Then we took a metro to a park. The park was very peaceful. It had a lake and had less smoking. There were people playing music and people watching puppet shows. There were people just tapping pots to make music. That was amazing. There were also stores selling popcorn and snacks. We saw lots of birds and fish there.

After we walked the whole park, we went to eat lunch. On the way to finding a place to eat lunch. We saw many stores selling books. I seemed interested but all of the books were unfortunately in Spanish. We saw many restaurants. Knowing, that Spanish food wasn't that good, I suggested eating Mcdonalds. But my family was sick of eating Mcdonalds and we ate a Spanish restaurant. I ate pizza, my sister ate pasta. It was extremely expensive. They also charged the bread. You could not choose whether or not you wanted the bread.

We went back to the art museum we went to on day 1.

We didn't know it was the art museum until my sister reminded me. we walked down the streets. There were a lot of old buildings that were very beautiful. When we arrived near a huge department store, I need to go badly to the restroom. We asked security guards but they said that the only public restroom was fifteen minutes from the department store. We instead went to a close by starbucks and used the restroom.

We went under a bridge and up to the cathedral again. My dad who is very cautious, thought it was dangerous. so we took a different route and went back to Sol a metro station where the huge plaza was located. Even in the nights, the plaza was crowded. It was christmas eve and almost all the stores were closed. we did not find any place that was open until we went near our hotel.

There was only one little store that had food and was open. I again ate a ham pizza while my other family members en panatas. We also had oranges. That was the only food we had.

This day was crazy. Out of all four days I think this day was the day where we walked the most. To express my feelings of tired I will tell you this. When I got on my bed I quickly fell asleep.

4rth day

On, the fourth day, we got up early in the morning and ate our breakfast in our hotel. We ate our left over oranges from last night. We went out of our hotel and went back to the old town we went to on day 1. We went circles and circles around. Then we went back to the palace we went to on day 1. We went to the northern part of the garden on day 3 that was connected to the palace. In the garden of the palace, we walked a lot. And when I mean a lot I mean a lot. We spent almost more than two hours.

We were extremely tired. We took no metro anywhere. We went to Mcdonald to rest and wait. Today was the day when we took our bus to Valencia at 11:00 pm. That day, we didn't really have anywhere to go. We weren't even eager to see a new place. We just roamed circles and circles around the same place. I was looking at the clock the whole time. Finally, the time came.

We took a metro to the avanza station again. There in the station, we waited in the restaurant for our bus to come. We drank orange juice and played cards. We were watching tv and watching for our time to board. When it was time, we went to the bus and rode to Valencia. It was a three hour trip over night.

I was extremely tired an immediately fell asleep ...... zzzzz .......... zzzzzzz.

My Tech Camp

When it is a weekday I don't really go to school but I go on a camp in the tech museum. My dad checked me in for the classes, Junior MD and Web Wikis & Widgets. this is what I learned on the first day of these classes:

In Junior MD we put on safety equipment and then mashed some strawberries. Then we let all the juice come out and add a little alchohol. After we shook it and then saw our own DNA. After we talked about different diseases.

In Web Wikis & Widgets we got up with our partners and then thought about what our web name would be. then we designed our sign using photoshop and at the end we put it on our website.

And that is what we learned on the first day.

My mom signed me up to go tech museum camp for about five weeks

My Free Time

Sometimes when I have free time such as weekends I sing songs. By the way am I singing this?

On August 7 2010 I went to santa cruise. I went to see the lighthouse. I also could'nt believe that some people go surf boarding in such cold water. so then since we were really cold my dad bought some clam chowder. It was really good. After we went to eat dinner in magnolia at santana row to eat.

My Swimming Lesson

When I was going to swimming class on my first week, I was pretty nervous.

So I got into the pool and the teacher started telling us to do two laps of freestyle. After we were done then we did another two laps of freestyle but one hand has to stay up until the other hand reaches it. Then we took our kick-boards and moved by splashing the water with our feet back and forth.

So then the teacher taught us a couple more strokes. But sometimes the teacher has to stop me and teach me like this
